The first time I heard of Siargao was because of the film "Siargao," directed by Paul Soriano. Since then, I've seen a lot of celebrities post photos of the island on Instagram. I'd always wanted to live on an island, so I decided to take the Siargao tour, and it was fantastic.

Expenses
I went on a group tour with Travel Break (check out their Facebook page, they're the best). I joined for the 2-day/1-night package for only 3500php. Everything is covered except for food and drinks if you want to party at night. I think it’s quite a really good deal.
Additional Expenses
Siargao is known as the country's surfing capital, so surfing is a must-do while visiting the island. For 500php, you can rent a surfboard with an instructor who will not stop until you learn how to balance. Simply add 100php for the photographer and you'll have a piece of memorabilia of your first surfing experience.
Additional expenses because I am the type of person who wants to have a new outfit (by outfit, I mean bikini) every time I travel or visit nice beaches. I bought a new bikini and clothes for ootd.
The Journey
We left Davao at 8 p.m. and arrived in Surigao at 4 a.m. We take the ferry from Surigao port to Dapa, which takes about 2-3 hours. It's a long sail, and I'm not a fan of traveling by sea because it makes me dizzy; I think that's the only downside of this trip. However, there is now a direct flight from Davao to Siargao, which solves the problem if you want to take the easy and quick route, but it comes with a price.
Sugba Lagoon
Our first stop was at the Sugba Lagoon. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on Siargao Island. It is located on Caob Island in Del Carmen, about a 45-minute drive from General Luna and an hour by boat from the Del Carmen port. It has 4,871 hectares of mangrove forest and is known for its clear turquoise waters surrounded by limestone formations. If you enjoy diving, there is a diving board here, and you can also rent paddle boards and snorkeling masks.

Maasin River
The famous Maasin River was our next stop. General Luna is about a thirty-minute drive away. On our way to the river, the beautiful scenery, particularly the overlooking palm trees, took my breath away. One of the activities I am most looking forward to on this trip is the palm swing. I only tried it once, and it was amazing. We made a few photo stops on our way back to General Luna.

Cloud 9
This is the site of the Cloud 9 Surfing Cup, an annual surf competition. We did not miss the opportunity to learn to surf here. And, to quote our tour guide, "you will miss out on the fun if you do not try surfing, and once you start learning, you will become addicted to it." It turns out she was right.

Guyam Island
We only stayed for a photo shoot for less than an hour. The island is beautiful, but there isn't much to do here. However, as with the other two islands, the water is so tempting that you can't help but plunge in.

Daku Island
This is the best one so far. Its crystal clear turquoise waters are tempting, as are the white sand, big waves, and swaying coconut trees. I mean, you can't ask for more.

Naked Island
The last stop on our island hopping adventure. There isn’t anything to see on this island at all. Except for a few small bushes around it, Naked Island has no plants or trees growing. It's just an island surrounded by powdery white sands and crystal-clear water.

Lunch
I'm not sure how much the entire buffet cost, but we each chipped in 500php. The seashells were insanely delicious. Eating with strangers who share common interests was more fun and interesting than I had expected. Bon Appetit!
